July 24, 2020 - Big, rather bold with browning rim and massive amounts of sediment.
Bdx-notes of cedar, mint and cassis with some ZA aniseed/toch of smoke kick to it. Superb pairing with grilled meats. Based on my bottle, I'd say it's time to drink though

December 4, 2019 - A private dinner with family (Restaurant De Lage Vuursche, Lage Vuursche, NL): A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc, aged in 100% new French oak for 24 months. Open and expressive nose with a minty character and lots of ripe black fruit; on the palate full-bodied (14.5% ABV) and concentrated, with a powerful tannic structure. Seems to have the energy, fruit and balance for at least another decade of positive development.

April 6, 2015 - Good stuff. Quite mature

April 28, 2011 - Very dark garnet, indicating maturity. After half an hour in the decanter, it started expressing itself revealing attractive anise, licorice, creme de cassis, cedar and minty notes. Full-bodied, dense, with velvety tannins, big extract and nicely balancing acidity, leading to a very long finish. Amazing richness and density without compromising freshness and elegance. The epitome of a high end new world cabernet dominated blend, reminiscent of a top Napa cab. Ready to enjoy.

September 12, 2008 - Dover Park Hospice charity dinner + extras (St Regis, Singapore): 90% Cabernet, 7% Merlot, 4% Cab Franc. 14.5% alcohol. Dark purple colour, really modern nose on the first pour - vanillin laced oak, piney, woody scents, milk chocolate, mocha and a touch of glycerin. The fruit under all that took awhile to coax out, but when it did, it showed plummy dark fruit and a rather Bordelais brambliness. The palate attacked with a kick of bitter roots, but was nicely rich and concentrated with lots of black plum and cassis fruit lurking underneath a chocolate, bramble and dried herb overtones. A bit disjointed, with the herbacious bitterness dominating at first, but came together with time into a rather plush, round wine. Alcohol was nicely under control, with no heat showing up at all - surprisingly given the glycerin on the nose. Velvety tannins that coated the teeth and good round acidity gave the wine a really nice structure throughout. Towards the end of the glass, a touch of savoury showed up. It finished smooth and decently long with a another twist of herbs. This wine has quite a bit of stuffing, but seems to be going through an awkward adolescent phase at the moment. It should improve in the next few years. Impressive, but not blown away - like some of the other top up-and-coming new world efforts, this seemed to lack a little soul.
