November 6, 2021 - My favorite cuvée from St Cosme. This is a serious spice box right now. Garrigue, and incense like you’re inside an orthodox church. A bit more acidic than Hominis Fides (tried in parallel at same time, same vintage). Two thumbs up.

June 30, 2019 - Soft, elegant, refined, delicious and sadly our last ‘06 Le Poste. Cherry, garrigue and spice. A Rhône flavor profile but Burgundian in style.

February 4, 2019 - Had this as a barrel sample at the winery in 2007. Now first bottle of 6.
Started right from the beginning. Poured me a glass with coravin and it was singing. Second glass better. Then i opend the bottle and wolfed down this juice without decanting. Smooth, silky , red fruits, no heat, lively freshness and good finish. A few more years will help the herbs to come in front. Just lovely . 94 + Merci Monsieur Barroul !!!

December 25, 2017 - Excellent pairing on Christmas Eve with rack of lamb. Soft, smooth and feminine. Red fruit, anise and a touch of spice. Still has legs but I do not see much upside from here.

September 4, 2017 - Pot-luck at Abbot Street (Abbot Street, Ngaio, Wellington, New Zealand): Mature, soft and balanced. Beautiful expression of Grenache. Supple texture, red fruits, leather and thyme. Drinking at close to full resolution, for my tastes.

April 20, 2017 - Probably too soon with this bottle. The wine takes a long time to really express. Sleep on this for a few years,

June 3, 2016 - Dark dense reddish purple color. Served with a decant. Spice, pepper, oak on top of darker fruit. Lovely flavor profile. This should age will for many years.

July 13, 2011 - Always a lovely, modern perfumed nose of roses/bandung ("ancient roses" according to the winemaker) lots of other flowers, something resembling young ginger flower/galangal, - spa like really. White pepper, light-coloured berries and hints of vanillin oak too. At some points there is a meaty note that flutters in and out.
A significant decant is absolutely necessary to bring everything out on the nose.
On the palate, a tad sweet, replicating the spa-like nose.
Balances out with some acidity but the tannins are starting to intrude, as compared to the last bottle.
Interesting to see how this will develop over time, but oh so few bottles of this left!

March 16, 2009 - Specs - Southern Rhone Tasting 2009 (L'ALLIANCE FRANCAISE): 90% Grenache. The color was lighter than the le Claux. The nose and palate were had a large dose of black pepper and oak influence. The raspberry, blackberry, and cedar lasted until the very tight finish. Again a very young wine that needs decanting. The cedar box and splinters were a little forceful on this bottle. They will probably resolve over the next few years though. Great bottle. 92pts.
