September 28, 2021 - Somewhere in the 98-99 range. Near perfect. The best bottle of wine I can recall having.

Opened and let sit (did not decant) for 1.5 hours, then decanted and drank 1 hr later. Drank at a restaurant. I don’t think there was much sediment but I didn’t decant. Was upright for days. Fill was high, cork was great. Bottle was in great condition. Upon first opening strong and very pleasant nose. Was obviously going to be great. Initial sip was kind of tight and surprising structure and tannins given the age.

2.5 hours later truly spectacular. Round velvet mouth feel. Present and well integrated tannins. On palate dark fruit, some oak, some flint or gravel maybe. Just very lucious and round given the age. Was really really impressed. Good length and body. Medium to long finish. “velvet” is the word that comes to mind.

    Awesome

July 15, 2021 - Medium nose with notes of earth, medicinal, black fruits, spices, oak. Medium acidity and tannin. Seem like its on its down cycle, was expecting a better performance from 1989. The cork and bottle is in pristine condition. Did not decant, but the wine improve in the glass with more oxygen.

June 23, 2021 - Medicinal and mineral. But maybe this is 88 lafite?

June 2, 2021 - This was more advanced than the 1990 drank the same night. Tannins well integrated, the mouth was singing and it paired perfectly with "laqué duck". I envoyed it, but the 1990 was more complex to my taste.
