January 26, 2017 - Breton Bourgueil Perrières Vertical (Arlequin Wine Merchant, San Francisco): This wine works. Bouquet to finish consistently classic cab franc: green pepper, black olive, gathered twigs. If I could tweak anything, I'd add a dollop of fruit. The [super knowledgeable] Kermit Lynch rep likes these cooler vintages best ... I'm somewhere in the middle. How great this would be in a blend with the '03!

September 24, 2014 - Interesting wine, but not my cup of tea. Good acidity, but I just don't like how these wines taste...too veggie and herbacious.

August 7, 2014 - Confraria - Agosto - 2014 (Bassi Templo da Carne - São Paulo - Brazil): What wine. Powerful. Aromas of stable and cigar box. Good acidity. Persistent.
