December 14, 2019 - As expected, huge amounts of blackberry, blueberry, very smooth, on the back side of its prime drinking window, low complexity.

November 3, 2017 - On the nose there are aromas of ripe black fruit and spices. The palate also shows very ripe, rich fruit and smooth tannins. It is a little bit porty and has quite a spirity finish. There is plenty of appeal here for those that enjoy a powerhouse red, but it didn't excite my palate.

November 1, 2015 - Decanted hr, fragrant nose, plenty of dark plum, currant, cassis on the palate, soft, smooth, restrained by Aussie standards, this bottle was delicious and ready to drink but has 5 or so years left in a cool environment.

November 14, 2014 - Fruity, rich inviting nose. Soft, velvety blueberry and vanilla on the palette. Medium finish. Nice.

March 12, 2014 - Inky, rich, and tasty. A wine at the peak of its youthful juicy expression. Not sure how it will evolve from here. Blueberry and blackberry notes along with some menthol/juniper character. Lively nose followed by sleek, modestly oaky palate with big flavors. This is ultra ripe Shiraz, not given to the gamey, peppery, herbal expression encountered in N Rhone or cool coastal California editions. Reminds me of late harvest zinfandel within an elegant frame. Very old vines responsible for concentration. A vintage, not tawney, port-like note lurks.

I think the wine would have been even better if a larger proportion of the must had been tank/neutral oak aged.

November 24, 2012 - Decanted for 1 hour. It was hot and brooding at first with lots of big red Aussie Shiraz fruit character. After some time it chilled out. The nose was never exceptional - average at best. The palate however was a good balance of tannins fruit and complexities. Not for your average Shiraz connoisseur. It is almost balanced but the oak influence doesn't fit with the fruit. It's too hot over All And the finish doesn't go on long enough to merit a higher score. It's not worth 50 but if you could get it for 25-30 it would be pleasing.

November 19, 2012 - Way too much alcohol. Thought it would have intergrated better. A bit off for me. I had higher expectations.
