March 10, 2024 - Tasted after 1 hour of air. Light floral. Apple fruit. Plenty of verve. Minerals. Excellent balance. Quite a bit going on here.
February 19, 2024 - Enjoyable chardonnay. Should let it rest before opening another bottle.
January 29, 2024 - Tasted after 30 minutes of air. Tasted blind. I guessed this was a Picpoul at first. Very high acidity. Green apple fruit. A lean style. Some excellent dry extract on the mid palate. Big hit of mineral too. Almost like licking a piece of slate. Really starting to open now. A very distinctive style of Chardonnay. Excellent balance as I love these lean high acid Chardonnays. Outstanding.
January 13, 2024 - This is excellent and shows the beauty of Chardonnay in Oregon. When I first opened the bottle at 57 degrees, it had what felt like some extra RS, but chilling it down a few degrees to about 50 Fahrenheit corrected that immediately. Super aromatic in the glass, great color, and richly concentrated with both fruit and rocky mineral notes. This is punching so far above its price it’s a little ridiculous. Saul has a huge hit here.
January 9, 2024 - It’s young and could benefit from a decant, but once it opens you get a bit of citrus drizzled over apricots, pears and peaches. Some cream, macadamia, a touch of hay and a lovely minerality with the flint and slate.
This bottle was still singing on day 3.
December 9, 2023 - Classic US chardonnay with some oak and a light cream. Mineral in mid palate plus a little cooked pear. Mild finish. Quite autumnal.
