February 24, 2023 - Rust red color. Nose of powdered sugar, mixed berry tart, and herbes de Provence (not garrigue!). Delicious with confectionary red berry notes.

February 2, 2022 - Rich, mature mix of ripe red fruit and lovely oak flavours, soft tannins and incredible balance. Damson, sun dried tomatoes and dates combined with the vanilla oak and overall balance makes this a wine to savour.

November 25, 2021 - Excellent fill, perfect cork. Slight amber at the edges. Medium body for a CdP, certainly at it's peak, a little bit of sediment, Drinking very nicely with turkey dinner. Fruity enough to seem sweet in the finish.

June 11, 2021 - Nice bottle, classic CDP. Strawberry and nice age element.
Evolves into a balanced memorable great drinking CDP.

March 19, 2020 - My one and only bottle. Light red color. Funky nose, barnyard. Light cherry fruit, some green notes, garrigue on the back. Good acidity. Surprisingly lean and well proportioned for a 1998. Old-style Neuf. Positive surprise.

(Chateau Fortia Chateauneuf-du-Pape) Grilled meat, mint, saddle leather, tree sap, kirsch. Very forward nose. Have not had this wine since release and it still has not closed down. Ripe with tons of red fruits and a great soft mouthfeel. Has that in your face fruit quality that so many of the '98's have. Just explosive and one of the best Fortia's since back in the day. Great QPR CDP.
