February 23, 2010 - better than expected. For CAD$18 from LCBO, there are many better choices.

February 28, 2008 - Nice dark ruby red in color. Big quick moving legs that have a red tinge. Pretty flat on the nose with a bit of wood, freshness and grape juice. A little watery on the mouth. Pretty blank followed by acid and grape juice. Finishes with some bitter tannins. No balance. I was hoping to find a sleeper in this 2005 vintage, but this isn’t it. The tannins at the end suggest time may help, but I don’t think I am going wait and find out. 74 it is. In fairness I should pick up another to be sure, but with all the 2005 buzz … I am not going to bother.
