January 28, 2019 - Enofusión 2019; 1/28/2019-1/30/2019 (IFEMA - Madrid): Beautiful tawny colour with watery edges. Much more refined than its younger brother.on the nose some notes stand out: orange peel, eastern spices like clove, curry mix, tandoori red powder but also coffee bean with cinnamon. On the palate the traditional Taylor's style with a little feeling of volatile. Extraordinary acidity cleaning all the mouth. Excellent length with an splendorous finish. From 20 yo always a success.

December 31, 2018 - Deep tawny brown and semi-clear. Rich nose with layers of toffee, almond paste, woody and stewed plums. Solid acidity cutting through the sweetness. Layered flavors on the palate of tropical fruits, cedar, cherries, spices and nutty. Acidity hits through at the backend of the palate and has some nice depth. Long finish. Drinking will right now.

April 21, 2018 - Fourth wine on the Spanish and Dessert wines table at the Third Annual Oakton Wine Shop Bucket List Tasting. Mix of medium amber and tawny red. Quite a bit of alcohol on the nose with some vanilla and woodiness. Balanced acidity on the palate with some almond paste, roasted nuts, stewed plums and some cedar. Medium bodied with a similar length finish. Drink till 2032.

April 3, 2018 - Port tasting (tawnies and rubys); 3/27/2018-4/3/2018 (Todd's): The best of the tawny's on the table. Deep iced tea in color. The nose has crem brulee with a slight spice and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, caramel and brown sugar. This has depth and complexity. An amazingly long finish. Impressive, but not inexpensive either.

November 20, 2016 - Gordon's: I prefer vintage port, but this was good tawny. An elegant, well-tempered style but not as much complexity as one might hope for the price. [92]

(NV Taylor's Thirty Year Old Tawny) Current release. This wine has a much richer hue apparent, showing a tawny-toasty brown. Very mature in style on the nose, and on the palate it is dry, grippy, with a gentle texture, and a nutty, baked earth character. This is very stylish indeed. Nevertheless, although nicely composed, it has a quality very close to that of the twenty-year old.
