May 11, 2012 - Golden yellow with lots of tiny bubbles. Smelled yeast, citrus and a nuttiness. Very round in the mouth with tastes of biscuits, almonds and lemons. Good @Blackfish.
December 3, 2011 - Champagne Tasting (Sal's Beverage World, Elmhurst): Apple notes with an underlying dirtiness that was quite appealing. Apple, biscuit and grapefruit flavors. $24.99.
May 4, 2011 - Dry tasty almonds
February 26, 2011 - Great QPR. Clean and crisp. Citrus a touch of berries
December 20, 2010 - Medium gold, steady and persistent mousse. Profound biscuit, peanut butter, toffee, and toast bouquet. The palate has bold, nutty flavors complimented by some lychee, mango, and sourdough with sprightly acidity and a fine balance of dryness. Long finish and although not completely seamless, darn close. 5+13+16+8 = 92
December 3, 2010 - Nose: A little bit of a stinky nose, almost pepper and earth. Taste: Yeast and almost a meat note on the approach, some butter, transitioning to some pepper and like an almond note on the midpalate. Slight lemon on the finish. Mouthfeel is nice and bubbles are somewhat smaller/subtle. Complex, decent acid, very dry. Needs a food pairing.
November 27, 2010 - 93. Ridiculously good...the acids have had enough time to mellow out and make for a more rounded taste profile.
July 31, 2010 - We didn't think this was much special. I prefer the de Blancs. This was an easy drinkers that showed a pleasant sweetness and a softer mouthfeel. QPR?
April 3, 2010 - Clear effervescent appearance. Tiny persistent mousse. Sweet green apple nose. Nice creamy, yeasty, lemon flavours. Dry finish. Very good.
April 2, 2010 - Bill's Monthly Lunch - April 2010 (Vancouver, BC): Tasted blind – medium straw in colour. On the nose yeasty notes with loads of green apple and doughy notes on the palate. Crisp mouth feel with a good amount of acidity. Nice tartness. As it sat in the glass it seemed to gain complexity. Long finish, medium body and very dry. I liked this a lot and would have guessed Champagne for sure. Drink or hold. Excellent.
