February 12, 2023 - Deep red colour with some fading at the rim,
Perfumed nose, red peppercorns, cherry, tobacco and toasted nuts.
Quite firm tannin still but there's beautiful fruit and fragrance here, rose petal, strawberry, with savoury walnut and leather and even a touch of dark chocolate.
On great form. Lots of sediment so worth decanting, I didn't, but probably not hours.
Lovely wine, effortless and only 12.5%. -

May 21, 2022 - Good closure with no seepage. Deep garnet although slightly cloudy. Nose of raw meat, barnyard and dark forest fruit. Palate is blood and blackcurrant with a lovely saline undertow. Long finish with soft tannins to a nice refreshing conclusion.
