September 9, 2023 - After 27 years still drinking well. Decanted for a few hours before a wine tasting party and tasted every couple of hours and drank well throughout. Even was drinking well for a few days after opening!

April 8, 2020 - Double decanted. Tertiary characteristics expressed, some oxidation setting in. Tannins fully resolved and softened. Blueberry, black cherry, cassis, white peppercorn. Drink now, if you've got any put away.

December 16, 2014 - Shockingly excellent. Based on the drink dates I was expecting this to be over the hill, but it was anything but. Awesome fruit and tannins intact. In an evening of strong wines that also included Larkmead Solari, this one held its own.

February 13, 2012 - Popped and poured. Grand expression of Sonoma Cab, mild to moderate tannin, still some acid, fine varietal nose. Don't keep it as it is perfect now.

March 11, 2011 - This wine was tasted in double-blind fashion at Vintage Wines, Ltd. The bottle was kindly provided by John Pollack. Opaque garnet with amber rim. Clean, moderately intense nose showing aromas of ripe plums, leather, tobacco and mushrooms. Full-bodied on the palate, with low acidity and light residual tannins. The flavors are complex and in line with the nose. The middle is solid and the smooth finish is medium in length. This is a very nice, fully mature Dry Creek Valley Cab at this point, with enough residual fruit to provide pleasure for at least another 2-3 years. Drink now-12/13.
