February 14, 2015 - New World Blind Tasting Group $25+ (Bin 75): Aged, see through crimson with rusty edge (Nebbiolo at a New World Tasting?); some soy, ginger bread, menthol, licorice (Nebbiolo?!); thicker texture on palate, a bit unctuous, lighter grape variety, a bit fresher on palate but I think this bottle's best drinking were years in the past; called Central Coast Pinot.
May 4, 2013 - Drank as part of a vertical. Holding up nicely. 2007 was deemed clearly superior. Not surprising.
February 3, 2013 - Very nice structure..lovely wine!
March 30, 2012 - I'm generally not a big Pinot fan, but really enjoyed this bottle with a couple of friends. Nice nose, hint of red current with lots of spice and silky smooth. Drinking very well at this age.
October 21, 2009 - Decent Pinot. Bold style, with a gripping finish.
July 5, 2009 - I am a big fan of Seghesio's wine, and love the fact that they do a Pinot. It is pricey, but I love receiving club shipments of this wine at a reduced price. Please check out my full write-up if you would like to know more!

March 15, 2009 - extremely dark color for a pinot. Kind of monolithic and a bit flabby; lacking some typical pinot characteristics. Not a bad wine, but not a great pinot. Perhaps this would have benefited from more bottle age or a lengthy decant, but I'm not sure.
April 28, 2008 - Honeymoon Visit at Seghesio: I didn't realize Seghesio made any Pinot, but I'm glad I was able to taste this. Pale ruby color. Aromas of cherries, baking spices and dark fruit. The palate is bright, with flavors of cherries, cola, spices and clove, all pulled together by a nice level of acidty. Elegant and delicious. 90-91 pts.
April 26, 2008 - Seghesio's pinots continue to surprise me with their elegance and youthful drinkability. The last 4 or 5 vintages have been very expressive, with wonderful rich fruit, which deepens after a couple of hours.
