December 22, 2023 - This bottle quite aromatic, with dried red fruits, soil. Medium bodied, fine-boned with vibant acids and firm, powedery tannins on the medium/good length finish. Enjoyable still but not as good as the previous bottle. (brought by AW to Noize)

October 25, 2022 - Great purity of ripe red and black fruit. Long, linear and compelling. Will still evolve and potentially gain complexity but I wouldn't want to lose that fruit. Drink or hold. Really nice.

November 26, 2020 - {2nd of 6, bought on release, perfect fill. Opened 2 pm, tasted x 6 hours} Ravishing scent, like an Amoureuses or Musigny, atop Echezeaux fruit. Killer wine. Complex, engaging nearing maturity 97 nose, 92 palate tonight. Probably best 3 hours after opening when range was 95-97 and length long.... Haunting, "peacock's tail unfurling on the palate" wine.

November 8, 2020 - I think a good time to drink the last of my bottles - quite a lovely wine with subtle fruits and the tannins fully resolved

February 12, 2020 - At The Ledbury with FC & AW. This was more youthful, noble dark fruit, mineral notes, a touch of meat/leather. Medium bodied on the palate, lightly savoury dark fruit, smoke, mineral, fine tannins, deep and expands nicely into an extended length peacock's tail finish. Excellent/Outstanding and early days yet too.

January 31, 2020 - 1 hr decant; showing extremely well, expressive nose of cherry and earth elements; long and delicious blend of cherry and sous bois on the palate; finish is very nice, only nit is a bit drying tannins at finish. Wish I had more.

December 25, 2017 - Pure nose of red fruit and a touch of spice. Almost rich. Less fulfilling on the palate. Soft, smooth, good balance, but not much fruit or depth.

March 4, 2017 - {1st of 6 bought on release, perfect fill, at JFTJr dinner party}. PopnPour. Initial somewhat vulcanic, blew off quickly. Somber, dark red fruited, touch shy but impeccably structured wine that simply grew and grew and expanded over 45 minutes. Great balance, complex, layered, beautifully textured fruit. Poured after '96 Clos de Tart which was much more fragrant and beguiling.... but this wine just snuck up behind it with superb quality of fruit. Should have had a decant. Do not think we saw what it is really capable of. Could be a 93-96 wine. Wonder where Potel sourced these grapes from? Unlike others posting I am going to hold these bottles for a while before opening the next.

April 23, 2016 - Drinking exceptionally well. Red fruit with a touch of spice and a solid structure. Overall impression is of round, elegant fruit with a linear quality beneath. Hard to say whether it will improve further, but seems to have the balance to keep well. Very, very good. Decanted approx 2+ hours with steady improvement, though it was "ready" after 30 minutes.
