February 19, 2012 - Plenty of Malo on this one, nice buttery finish, but not elite among chards.

October 16, 2011 - In all fairness, this wine is no doubt past its prime. No aromas, very little fruit on the palate and extreme oak. For me just barely drinkable and will not finish.

November 28, 2009 - Nice wine, but not special. Good pear flavors with some vanilla and allspice. Nice enough acidity, but dominated by a load of oak. Stylistically, it's not my favorite kind of chardonnay, but it's easy to drink. My wife liked it more than I did. I'd rate it an 87, she'd probably say 90.

October 22, 2009 - OK wine. Expected more from this Chardonnay. Actually disappointed as it did not pair well with pate and cheese. Metallic taste with a bite.

July 18, 2009 - I had higher hopes for this wine. A bit too much oak, not enough acidity, a bit flat overall.

March 16, 2009 - I really like what Susan Reed at Gary Farrell has done with the wines as she takes over the reigns from the winery's namesake. The Chardonnays, in particular, have been showing well. The 2006s might be their best in years. Beautiful apple, green apple, and pear fruit here, with lovely balance and terrific acidic bite. Long finish that shows a slight oak influence. Well done. A-

December 25, 2008 - Big, in your face chard that doesn't seem to have all it's parts together and is currrently dominated by the oak. I'd wait another year before trying this again.

December 16, 2008 - 14.2% alcohol. This is young but drinking beautifully. Light yellow color. Fragrant bouquet of apple, bear, green apple, and a hint of creamy oak. In the mouth, lovely and linear, with plenty of zippy fruit and excellent acidity and minerality. Long finish, with more oak showing through that's deftly done. This is a really pretty wine. Always enjoy it. And this is a beautiful example. A-
