August 15, 2020 - Waited too long on this one- thin and past well past the peak of its drinkability, but tolerable in its fourth quarter. Another few years and it will/would have made an excellent cooking wine. Luckily this is my last one.

February 13, 2015 - Just popped and poured. Exceptional syrah, and every bit as good as my memory of a bottle from a few years ago. On the nose, tons of earth, coffee, dark cherries, hints of a smoky black tea; some spice and well-integrated oak. No real meaty notes. Still has good acidity, and a very clean finish. Full bodied, and just a beautiful package. This is drinking wonderfully right now, and based on my vague recollections from a few years ago, while this seems to have the acidity to last a bit longer, this is not going to improve further. Drink up.
We drank this against a 2012 Cornas that had about 5 hrs open, and it was interesting to contrast the styles. -

August 28, 2011 - Initial nose of pepper. After decanting We picked up burnt wood, petrol and plum. Light body. Fruit and oak flavors. Slightly dry finish. Very balanced wine. Served with marinated flank steak.
