November 22, 2021 - Very old style burgundy that was built to last! This was still fresh and not fully evolved despite 30 years. Will try another bottle in about 5-10 years but not sure if this can get any better.

October 31, 2021 - An excellent bottle but frustratingly youthful and needed far more time to come online, could have even been decanted it was so tight and dark fruited. Technically very strong but not the open, ripe, ethereal example we had 02/25/21. Hoped for a little more, and probably would have got it if it wasn’t the last bottle of a long night on a long trip. Technically ~95, showing ~93. Nothing like last time.

July 29, 2021 - More Wine, Less Delta (Osteria Langhe): Sadly had a sunken cork and was oxidized.

    July 27, 2021 - Drank against the 2006.

What a great wine and much better than the last time I drank it. Right smack in the drinking window. Vibrating at just the right level. Good balance of acidity and fruit. Bright and wise. Not on the decline but hard to imagine it gets much better than this.

Rockss and Fruit

(Mugneret-Gibourg Ruchottes Chambertin) This was a lovely bottle. Great nose you could sink your teeth into. The meatiness of Ruchottes was in full glory. Besided meat there was mint, cherry, earth, old shed, dust and fresh spring day aromas. Really great nose and next to the 2002 Feusselotes the nose of the night for me. A complete wine on the palate with excellent cut and precision and loads of concentration and detailed sweet fruits. Oh man was this good and had nary a trace of the dreaded 90'itis. This could go for a while longer.
