  November 2, 2011 - Initially medicinal, like Cheracol - but more reminiscent than off-putting. A bit of smokiness around it, some mushroom-like accents, and a bit of spice. Overall not very complex, and a bit less than I had expected. Very soft tannin now, perhaps a bit less structure than it needs.

  July 30, 2011 - Pepper and spice. Needs to decant and chill. One taster gave it a 90 so it holds with the Artesa mainstays of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

  February 3, 2011 - Old world and new world blended perfectly. On the nose there is an earthy, woodsy character. On the palate the wine is smooth and elegant with flavors of strawberry and dark cherry. Sweet tannins and ultra smooth finish. ($16)
