March 29, 2020 - Very smooth with well integrated tannins, but black olive is too prominent for my taste.

April 6, 2019 - Excellent Bordeaux like blend. Black currants, blackberries, black raspberries, chocolate, licorice, leather, and some earthiness. Rich, elegant wine, full bodied, complex, and a long finish.

May 20, 2018 - Home w Valerie and Charlotte, grilled steaks and asparagus. Slow oxed for about 45 minutes, drank over 2 hours. Last bottle of the 05 vintage in my cellar.

From prior notes: "Dark purple color. Nose of black/blue fruits, blueberry, leather and earth. Palate was blueberry pie, plums, baking spice, oak, black olives, vanilla..."

This tasting there was more damp earth and smoke on the nose. Palate showing blue fruits, black currants, cedar and earth. Evolved a bit in the glass. A bit of "pruni-ness" on mid palate that detracts from the wine - may be going through a stage and could shed it in time. Prior bottles showed better than this one...did improve with time open

February 7, 2018 - Served at last night's wine group dinner. The raspberry and chocolate flavors stood out. Medium tannins. Will continue to improve. we'll see - two bottles left
