April 30, 2021 - Earthy, somewhat muted nose of red fruit, cola, oak, pencil shavings, lavender and forest floor, palate featuring a healthy dose of red cherry and ripe raspberry lifted by secondary notes of vanilla bean, cherry cola, mocha and white pepper, well-rounded tannins and a lengthy finish.

November 13, 2011 - Very good fruit and enjoyable. About 30 minutes into dinner the wine went from good to great.

October 19, 2011 - Really nice for the price. Nose of cherry, Christmas spices. Good grip of acidity and tannins that were well structured. I agree with others, a little heat on the finish.

September 28, 2011 - Still a bit 'hot' from the alcohol (14.5%), but great color and flavors.

March 3, 2010 - PnP; enjoyed over 3 nights. Deep violet red. Aromas of nice dark and blue berries with spice, cola and a dose of oak. Palate has medium high intensity fruit that follows from the nose. Also some spice, acid, tannins that all seem to balance. Low complexity and even less finesse. Texture made up of gritty fruit and is somewhat hot and coarse. Somehow its boldness makes it appealing.
