November 1, 2023 - If it wasn’t for the colour this would have been picked up as a classic Bordeaux.
From a ripe vintage and with decent age but ever so much a classic Bordeaux. The colour though gave it away, dark and dense for the feel on the palate of the age and the well developed nose. Impressive wine and ever so beautiful at a time when Napa was making elegant wines and not beasts. 931 person found this helpful Comment -

September 2, 2023 - Brought over by a friend who thought it was bad. Aromas of dried cherry, dried blackberry, leather, earth and iron. Flavors of cherry, dried blackberry, currant, earth and touch of tobacco. End with a 30-35 second finish with dried cherry and currant. Got better with more air. Interesting wine and got better with air.

July 2, 2023 - From Magnum- deep dark color. Red and black currant and berry, brett, mushroom, earthen, slightly menthol and tobacco. Tight and somewhat musty. Followed over 4 hours in decanter and in oversized riedel Bordeaux glass. Firmly convinced the wine is not perfect, but not TCA cork taint. The old Dunn wines all have a particular bretty note that at times is enamoring but at times somewhat too much funk or must. Unfortunately, this wine fell into the latter. Worth drinking, but far from a great aged Cali cab.

October 22, 2021 - Opened as a birthday gift to myself. Nose of black cherry, black berry, herbs, and dusty earth, on the palate, big body, very tasty, mouth filling fruit, opened over the next 2 hours with still more years of life ahead, but additional cellar time won't improve the score or wine, unless you like your Dunn older than 31 years old, drink now is my suggestion, as the Dunn oxidized in my glass, I note a hint of dark chocolate, and a long, flavorful finish and pleasant aftertaste, photos uploaded, forgive my 3 attempts at artsy photography.
