June 27, 2019 - Finally drank our last bottle of this, and it still has quite good structure and body. Even maintained quality over the course of 3 or 4 days with being vacu-vin'd in the fridge each time. No specific notes taken, other than that it had good amounts of dark berry fruit tones combined with the earthy notes that come from it's age.

December 20, 2011 - Interesting tobacco, which disappears after using the vinturi. Smooth berry flavor.

August 21, 2010 - Somewhat funkified, which took some time to blow off. Opened another bottle during the interim. Later, I was able to salvage the first bottle.

December 17, 2009 - Had this awhile back so I won't score it, but was impressed. Lively plum and blue fruit balance the raisin on the front end of the palate, with nice transition to leather and light earth. Really all about the front end but there's definitely enough on the midpalate and finish to keep it from feeling hollow. At around $20, fantastic QPR, particularly given how much Amarones and even Valpolicella Superiore from major producers tend to be marked up in the U.S. If memory serves I'd have scored this 90+.

October 15, 2009 - As good as remembered. This wine has now dragged on (opened) in my fridge for well over a week and is still holding strong. Incredible age-able, enormous QPR, this is just a fantastic wine.
