November 24, 2020 - This is ok. A bit tired and perhaps over the hill. Will see how a few more hours fare. But right now not worth the calories. So on to something else!

October 27, 2020 - Well this has settled down a great deal in 11 years and is definitely pushing the maturity curve. My bottle was soft, lovely but also quite mature, so I would not recommend sitting on these much longer. Throwing a huge amount of sediment, this is quite translucent in the glass with an amber edge at the rim. Some fairly ripe aromatics with fig and even a little plum pudding in the mix along with mature notes of iron and blood. The palate is soft, silky, and completely resolved. I would not call this tired, just fully mature, quite enjoyable but a notch down from being truly outstanding. Drink up and enjoy!

Quick note, as others have noted, a bit overcooked and i agree in this instance. The nose threw us off as there is a clear tomato leaf note to me. The palate has no perceptible green note, but it was tasting a bit stewed. 2/3 grenache, remainder probably syrah mourvedre. Not worth any premium in this case, was a good but not great tasting experience. Meh.

Drink up, this is mature and on a descending plateau.

October 14, 2015 - Elegant. Dried spice, raspberry reduction. Balanced. Soft sides. Fruit is still surprisingly dark and rich. Autumnal notes. I found this to have the most interest of all of the CdPs tonight. Christie's Rhone dinner, Amali.

February 6, 2014 - Fruit forward and modern in style. Cola and fruit on the nose. Loses fruit on the back end. Good. (88)
