July 24, 2022 - Drinking really well right now.
May 5, 2022 - Nicely melded flavors of cherry & dusty red raspberry, touches of mocha, vanilla, and sandalwood. Medium finish with faint tannins.
November 1, 2017 - Thank you Schlaepdog, Absolutely right. Opened my last bottle tonight because of your review.
To late I'm afraid.
June 8, 2017 - Very earthy wine. Nose is all earth and funk. As other tasters have noted, this bottle was not thin or watery, but in the medium body spectrum with decent weight. Flavors were predominantly earthy clay, but not exactly unpleasant, with cherry emerging mid-palate before more terroir dominates the finish. The earth components were balanced much better with food, duck confit with Bing cherry demi-glacé in particular, not as good on its own. Mature, drink soon before the rest of the fruit fades.
November 18, 2016 - No disagreement with recent notes in terms of taste, however it was a bit thin.
November 12, 2016 - Appearance: Dark, glossy
Nose: pepper. Worcester Sauce
Palette: Sweet Fruit. Oak
Smooth, Rich, Modern
October 8, 2016 - Not going to knock your sox off, but good drinking. Holding up well, really nice balance and enough acidity to make it a great compliment to food, but drink up.
September 4, 2016 - Red and dark fruit, good acidity, and some remaining structure. A bit rustic, but good balance. Should hold up for several more years. Good value.
June 27, 2016 - From a jeroboam. Soft tannin, nice acidity, lots of local flava but clean - zero funk. Greenblanket thought it was quite good and it was a big crowd favorite at the gathering he attended; it was drained it short order. This was stored right on the floor of an fairly cool and stable ambient cellar and still showed considerable development given the size of the bottle.
May 25, 2016 - Was perfect! A bit of smoke...les tannins étaient fondus...
