  December 12, 2012 - Aromas of raspberry, mint, and sweet spice. Flavors of blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, sweet spice and a hint of pepper. Fruit bomb-ish but not unbalanced. Full bodied with a good, long finish.

  August 12, 2012 - Traci's Dinner at Walt's (Walt's House, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA): Based on previous experience I decanted for 3 hours before serving. There is heat on the PnP but decanting gives it a chance to blow off. Color is dark plum and purple but is starting to lighten around the edges. Nose is stewed plums and light toasted oak. Palate is definitely fruit forward, as expected, but it's not syrupy or jammy and no signs of prune. Oak shows as turpin but in moderation. Really nice grenache and good QPR.

  November 9, 2011 - This is a wine I could really get into. I got lots of mushrooms, pepper, decaying wood and faint cooked brown sugar. Full bodied and with tons of raspberries and blackberry. Did not seem hot to me, but could feel the alcohol after a few glasses. Very enjoyable.

Coarse texture with a long finish - There is some heat after 3 hour still showing. Definite wood presence. A little over powering the fruit.
