December 20, 2023 - Time to drink up but wish I had more.

February 15, 2021 - Aromas of dark aromatic fruit, nutmeg and allspice, some soft notes of ripe plum, and damp forest floor. Wide spread of dry extracted dark fruit on the palate with smoothly integrated tannins moving into a savory acid finish.

December 23, 2020 - Double-decanted 5 hours ahead, and glad I did. Brought to a tasting of young California Pinots to keep them honest, and of course this one blew the doors off the New World pretenders. Giroud always among my favorite producers, and Latricières always my favorite among second-tier Chambertin grands crus. In the difficult 2006 vintage, nailed it about as well as anyone could. Enchanting nose with tertiary notes of spice over sous-bois; elegant Burgundian robe with full if not lingering finish. Sound in every way and ready now-2026.

November 1, 2020 - Evolving over 5 hours, initial barnyard funk blew off quickly, nose went from cherry to currant to warming spices to sous bois, someone got a bit of menthol. Palate solid throughout; an overall enjoyable and typical burg.

May 18, 2020 - Wow. Last guy said "drink up"?? Must have had a bad bottle. This is a lovely 06, drinking well now, yet with some upside which is reflected in my rating. Pure, intoxicating nose, light on the palate. How could anyone not like this? Is it a potential 95? I don't think so.
