Community Tasting Notes 10

June 2, 2018 - I was a little worried after reading several reviews of corked bottles, but this was a good bottle. Red fruit and a little dirt on the nose and palate. Well balanced acidity. A slight note of oak.

April 19, 2014 - This was my tasting note before noticing that I have two prior tasting notes on CT on this wine from years ago:
Nice worsted plummy fruit under a slight top layer of TCA.

Then I noticed that my prior two bottles were also corked. I am 0 for 3 on this wine. I believe this was a Garagiste purchase years ago.

February 9, 2014 - Monthly Tasting Group: Cote de Beaune (The Lynn on Bryant, Mpls, MN): Small pour. Pretty nice, some scorched earth, minerals, cherry, sous bois, finishes well and has some nice fruit. 89+pts.

February 9, 2014 - Took to a dinner; didn't take detailed notes. Liked where this was compared to a flight of '03s (hot and uninteresting) and '09s (too tanic). This seemed to strike a nice balance between the fruit and tannins bringing just a bit of spice as well. Wasn't otherworldly but rather a solid experience.
