October 27, 2023 - Similar to my 6/20/22 note only it was open from the get go.

Not showing its age colorwise but the nose and palate had plenty arm tertiary development (forest floor, shrooms, leather hints) along with great cherry and rhubarb pie. Had this with sautéed wild mushrooms and a chick stock reduction ala Trotter. Perfect match! Beautiful!

June 20, 2022 - Mag was disappointing upon opening to decant 5 hours ahead of serving. Was completely shut down and a bummer. BUT when it came time to enjoy it had opened up a lot with a great nose of dark stone fruits with wet stones. Palate added some cherry overtones, leather, rhubarb pie riding on softened tannins and mostly resolved acids. Sweet long finish. Became to wine of the night as the evening went along. Glad to have one more Mag.

October 15, 2021 - Back to the auctions (Bar Bould Sud): This is another one of those burgs that is a good wine and nice to drink and then you see the price tag and wonder exactly how that can be. It's light and elegant and nice fruit and enjoyable.

November 21, 2015 - Almost did not rate this wine. Darker ruby. Distant but fresh nose of red and black plum, flowers, and stone. Imploded palate of rock, iron, and woody black fruit. Very firm tannins and moderate acidity. Medium long finish mostly of dark stone fruit. All the parts are there but nowhere near ready.
