    November 30, 2019 - 100% Pinot Noir
from three parcels of about one hectare total with vines 60+ yrs of age.
Manual harvest. 3-4 day cold maceration; 3-4 week fermentation.
Malolactic in barrel. Aged 16 to 20 months in small oak barrels and demi-muids.
    13% Abv.
    Proprietor/Winemaker: Régis Forey (4th gen)

    From a 6L Methuselah

A(ccuray)=2: Med garnet/brown tint. Densely focused varietal.
B(alance)=2: Linear and bit monolithic components.
C(omplexity)=2: Subdued dark berries, earth, spices.
D(epth)=1: Soft mouthfeel. Average length and finish.

    Wine Tally Score [2,2,2,1]= 7/10

A case where the grand format is more impressive than the wine.

August 24, 2015 - Drank over three days. Very floral red fruits on the noise. Some to tobacco and stewed fruits and spice. Ripe but slightly austere red fruit (cherry) on the palate with good crisp acidity and structure. Smooth tannin. Long finish. Still young.

July 13, 2013 - Wonderful wine opening on my birthday. quick to open up and after an hour demonstrated some nice bright berry fruit on the nose, slight hint of tobacco. On the palate blackberry and strawberry, earth and some oak with nice finish. Very solid wine and just short of outstanding.

April 6, 2013 - Very good, classic Burgundy. Somehow little closed still, even after 1h. I wonder if it should not wait 3 more years...

January 24, 2013 - Half bottle. Lots of floral aroma, lots of wood. Dried figs, pomegrenade and some raspberry. Perceptible quality and power, but lacking fruit and charme. Strong acidity reminiscent of pickles as well. Dry finish. Maybe too young.
