May 14, 2024 - Classic Bonnes Mares with dark fruit, earth ans forest floor. It still showed the chunky fruit of the vintage. Very open for a Vogue. 91+

October 28, 2023 - La Fête du Champagne Gala (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): I served this at the La Fête du Champagne gala alongside the 2001. Ripe black and red cherry with excellent density and persistence. Powerful and still nicely fresh, with some charming evolved notes emerging in the background. Great now with upside.

February 4, 2023 - Very elegant but lacked a little bit of explosion.

January 3, 2023 - This bottle could potentially be advanced. Dried red fruit, tea, flowers and orange reel on the nose. Palate is fully resolved. The Vogue Bonnes Mares should be backward, dark and robust.

January 22, 2022 - Both the 06 and 08 showed reserved, and never fully opened up. I think they are both good but not outstanding wines.

December 30, 2021 - Fine and balanced. Has the structure to hold further. Outshone by the 2007 on the day.

October 31, 2021 - Took about 3 hours to only begin to open up and when it did, you could tell that this bottle is only going to blossom into something superb in the years to come. Big structure packed with lots of dense fruits that still needs some years to unfurl. Everything is there so let’s see!

May 6, 2021 - After a short time in the glass, it blossomed. Perfumed, delicate and with gentle intensity. Drink or hold.

January 8, 2021 - SLDS New Year (Quay, Sydney): Blood/iron/ferrous notes, cherry, redcurrant on the nose - opens up with time in the glass. Brooding on the palate, plenty of backbone formed through the acid that also gives the fruit a bit of extra freshness. Has layer of flavour. Pulled further ahead with time next to the 2007 as this just kept soaring.

December 19, 2020 - Decanted for 1 hour. Darker translucent ruby. Nose of fulsome but delicate violets, fine earth, iron granules, and black raspberry falling on the olfactories like a gentle, integrated wall. Layers of ethereal dark raspberry and blue plum on the satin-textured palate cut with molecular iron, noble earth, and briar. Beautiful acidity and fine tannin leading to a long finish of haunting red sweet berry laden with ferric notes and savory grip. Wonderful showing. A cut above even in adolescence.
