December 24, 2021 - Christmas Eve 2021 (Flemings, Walnut Creek, Ca.): In honor of my 11,000 Tasting Note, I opened this wine to enjoy on Christmas Eve and add another oenophile memory to my collection. Nose of mint, Spearmint Gum, red cherry, cranberry, raspberry, black cherry, and eucalyptus, medium/big body, very tasty, secondary flavors, elegant, rich tasting, smooth, delicious, loved by my wife and the 2 servers at our table tonight, young tasting for 44 years old, and a medium/long finish and fantastic aftertaste, photos uploaded. Thank you, Justin for making such a great wine. I have been fortunate to taste this wine twice before and have always called it the greatest Silver Oak I have tasted! I was not wrong then and am not now.

May 20, 2019 - pours a relatively young looking ruby with mild bricking at the edges. sweet cedar, eucalyptus, and raisins on the nose. palate shows incredible freshness, tart acidity, and plenty of complex fruit. flavors of savory blackberry, tart cherry, cranberry, rhubarb, orange rind, fresh fennel, cardamom, and cinnamon all present. minimal wisp of fine tannin still hangs on. lengthy finish. a beautiful wine. plainly, one of the best i've ever had.

November 30, 2013 - Minty, fresh, spearmint on the nose. Very tannic and astringent on the palate, with peppermint, candy cane, and spearmint. Black cherry and licorice, and blackberry. Think this wine will be improving for some time as the tannins mellow out. Amazingly long-lasting wine! Very very enjoyable!

February 28, 2010 - Had this wine last night. Naturally we were a little worried if this wine was still drinkable, but were very positively surprised. This fully mature wine was drinking extremely well for a 33 year old. It had distict notes of eucalyptus and mint on the nose. Smooth and round on the palate with a long and lingering aftertaste. A great bottle of old wine made in old world style (with only 12% alchohol).
