September 23, 2019 - Time in my cellar for 9 years has been good to this wine. Carignan predominates and adds to the complexity of this delightful wine, both on the nose and palate.Very dark fruit, faint spiciness. Long finish. Great with both a rustic pot roast and a rare Prime sirloin. Wish I had more or could find it.
December 12, 2013 - Perhaps it is past its prime. No bright fruit. Tastes a bit cooked.
October 25, 2010 - Happy Hour at Cru (Cru Wine Bar, Denver, Colorado): Dark fruit on the nose with warm spices, some meatiness and ripe cherries. Caramel, warm chocolate, plums, and cassis on the palate. Finish was barely there....
October 24, 2010 - Drank last night and glad I waited a few years. Excellent wine that went well with a pork ragu.
July 5, 2010 - Very lush, dark fruit color. Hints of smoke and flint, backed by deep stone fruit flavors. Long finish, with medium alcohol and light tannins. The Carignan is very rich. If you love complex Rhone blends, this is for you.
May 14, 2010 - Gorgeous color! Ruby Center and starting to tinge burned amber around the edges. Complex and light on nose with alcohol (surprising at 14%) blueberry, spice. Strong tannins, could improve from more time in bottle or a solid decant. More blueberry, spice and alcohol on the taste. Should continue to improve, almost overwhelming right now.
March 16, 2010 - Solid wine for the price.
March 13, 2010 - Blueberries and spice. Fresh acidity and hints of vanilla. Still fairly tannic for a 2003 Corbieres, so thinking I should have decanted this for bit.
July 29, 2009 - Great flavors and a wonderful bouquet. It's smooth but has a lot of complex flavors. Great buy. Try to find this again.
December 16, 2008 - Nice bottle of everyday wine. good price point.
