Community Tasting Notes 3

January 22, 2017 - This wine has improved with age. Red fruit and spice on the nose. Red cherry, light tea and thyme on a medium body palate. Medium + acidity and medium tannins. Pleasant but lighter style than expected from the vintage. More claret-like. Medium plus finish.

November 2, 2014 - flat taste profile - tannin did stand up to steak, leather taste, some minor blackberry fruit, tobacco, earthiness but flat finish

January 10, 2011 - Light garnet, almost ruby color; soft nose with a touch of sweet smoke; spicy notes predominant; smoother than expected with some firm tannins and a long finish that brought out more fruit (blackberry). Finish was the best part. Good wine, but not particularly memorable.
