  From Seyssel (Savoie), founded in 1901. Method Traditionnel. W/Jacquere, Chardonnay, Ugni Blanc, Colombard. Boisset bought Varichon in the late 90s. Made in the same facility as Louis Boillot.

  August 11, 2018 - (Vin Mousseux Blanc de Blancs, probably disgorged in the mid 1980s)
  Deep golden yellow colour with a slight whispering from the mousse and a very mature nose showing burnt sugar, citrus and flowers. Smooth acidity on the palate with mature red apples and burnt sugar on the long lasting bittersweet finish.
  This was surprisingly well drinking, considering its age (around 30-35 years old) and reminiscing of a well preserved non-vintage champagne with the same age..

  March 17, 2014 - The wine looks yellow gold colored. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like grapefruit, strawberry and toast. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.
