August 17, 2011 - really nice. glad i held on to this for an extra year, very subtle flavors...pine and raspberries on the nose, a bit of mineral and salinity on the palette, and still has some decent grip.

March 24, 2010 - Really good wine. Surprisingly open. Good depth, with a hint of saltiness. Not quite the depth of the '05's but much more accessable

89 pts

(Georges Descombes Brouilly Vieilles Vignes) Light medium cherry red color with pale meniscus; nice tart minerally red fruit and pomegranate nose; spicy, peppery, tart red fruit palate with good lime acidity; medium finish 90+ pts.

(George Descombes Brouilly Vieilles Vignes) Very floral nose with violets and some deep wet earth elements. Very ripe concentrated with sweet tannin. This is showing much better than it has recently stateside. Really dense pure black fruits. Greta acids give this lift and great inner mouth aromas. Brooding Brouilly.
