October 2, 2020 - Typical Beckstoffer fruit - everything in balance, beautiful fruit and complimentary flavors. Long, detailed finish. Longer life ahead, but why wait?

October 1, 2016 - Finally opening my last set of 2005 and Frontier is leading the way. Great nose and super finish. Smooth and round without the "hump" in the middle. The cab franc is there in the background without having the tannin overload. Love this wine. Brought it to Maui and enjoying it with a nice piece grass fed Maui beef. Loads of dark cherry, cassis, graphite and blackberry.

December 25, 2015 - Nice aroma, blackberries really stand out. Starts off nice, but if left to open up for a while, even better. Outstanding bottle with a nice steak. Glad I have a couple more!

July 31, 2012 - Nice cassis and pencil shavings on nose. Initially fairly closed, but opened up after a couple of hours after opening.nice ripe fruit, but lacking any real mid palate. Finishes with some smooth tannins. Ready to drink- a fairly poor QPR in the Cali Cab category.

June 13, 2009 - Awesome. Soft fat waves of dark berries and red fruits. Great mouthfeel. Reminds me of style of Realm Dr. Crane.

April 21, 2009 - Very nice nose of plums and blackberries. Black cherry and a distinct chocolate espresso note detected in the mouth mouth. Medium bodied with some more mocha laced oak on the long finish. Very well made.
