September 25, 2017 - Dinner w/ Doug & Sena & Alex & David...Sadly, Rob Was There Too (Doug & Sena's): Medium yellow colored with flavors of yellow apples/yellow fruits with a nutty finish. Bone dry, medium+ bodied with a subtle oiliness...the wine might have been slightly oxidized, but possibly just past it's prime. Paired very well with a sweet corn soup, was less enamored in the absence of food. Drink now.

August 10, 2015 - A cornucopia of flavors, and definitely (for me) an unusual wine. Full bodied, and full throttled. I liked it.

January 20, 2013 - Celebration Lunch at Kel's (Kelvin and Joyce's Place, Bishan): This was an interesting and very enjoyable blend of Malvasia, Riesling, Tocai Fruilano and Chardonnay. It had a really expressive nose, full of lychee and roses with a little hint of mineral and exotic spice behind. I thought it smelt for all the world like Rose Ispahan macarons. Nice. The palate had the creamy, waxy texture of a white Rhone, with another lovely waft of lychees and rose on the attack and midpalate, and a great dose of sweet spice running alongside - my initial guess was Rousanne, but this was not oily or rich enough, leaning out nicely on the finish, with a gentle acidity lending a touch of freshness and a nice touch of minerality emerging. It was certainly substantilal at 14% alcohol, but you really did not feel it on the palate. A nice, interesting wine, full of character. I liked this.

October 10, 2012 - Brown Bag Wine Dinner at Two Chefs - Double Blind; 10/9/2012-10/10/2012 (TWO CHEFS, MIAMI, FL): - Light gold color. It's in total harmony with a medium body. Bright texture with a long finish - Alvaro's wine. Deliciou.

May 9, 2012 - A bruising wine. The 14% alcohol much in evidence on the nose and palate. Texturally and aromatically this reminded me very much of a Condrieu from a hot vintage. While the overall package is quite impressive in he way it's put together, I found it difficult to appreciate more than 2 glasses.
