Community Tasting Notes 17

  • wineamateur Likes this wine:

April 27, 2020 - Good bright ruby colour, attractively plush on the nose, ripe fruit, quite assertive on the palate with reasonable balance but just a bit of a greenish tinge. Nice if a little lacking in character and complexity

June 25, 2017 - Fully mature, with the bricking of age, the wine is on the secondary side with its herbs earth, tobacco and red fruit character. Medium bodied, soft and just hanging to its remainder of peppery fruit, the wine requires consumption.

February 19, 2017 - Very easy-drinking styled Bordeaux. Fruits in the nose. A little bit of spices and slate. On the palate quite similar. Still young. But there are better alternatives at this price from 2007 right now.

April 9, 2016 - Very smooth and easy to drink! Very light tannins. Dried fruit, very slight earth, overall very easy drinking. Enjoyed with chicken dinner. Nice.

March 4, 2016 - Nose had mixed berries and oak. Palate had some underriped fruit with a lot of rough edges. The wine was austere. I guess the winemaker tried to make a more powerful 07 bordeaux in a weak vintage. But the wine was off balanced.
