September 27, 2022 - About 2+ hours of air in bottle. 3rd time trying this. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of forest floor earth, smoke, stony minerality, dark red cherries. Developed
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), silky medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of glossy black cherries, dark red cherries, smoke, crunchy stones minerality, savoury forest floor earth. Very long finish.
Very good quality. Drinking at peak already that feels like it will hold for a good 5-6 years at least.

March 14, 2022 - Dinner at Tasty Loong: Apparently this showed signs of seepage so probably not the most pristine bottle. Some VA on the nose, it had an elegant texture but also a strange mixture of nail polish, alcohol and stewed fruits notes, of which the latter made me guess a 2003. Became a little prettier and more Chambolle-like after a few hours.

October 30, 2021 - An Afternoon Tasting Burgundy (Chevalier Fine Wines - Elmhurst IL): Exciting aromas of mature red cherry, savory spice, faint meatiness, black truffles, and earth. Palate is similar but much more earth-driven and less bright. 93 point nose, 88 point palate. Drink up.

July 10, 2021 - Lovely nose: much more advanced than the 99 with lifted flower and secondary aromas soaring from the glass alongside fruit on a redder register that includes raspberries. Full and palate-staining, with gorgeous stone-fruit flavours on the finish which is also grippy with firm but fine tannins and a streak of acidity. Again, terrific with great balance and with years ahead of it. I particularly like the stony character of the fruit which is very of the vintage.
