July 6, 2021 - Grabbed one of these locally for $36 recently and it turned out to be a very nice find. Going back for more. At age 16 this is at or very near peak & fully realized but should easily hang around for 3+ yrs. Opened 2hrs before dinner, liked my first sniff & sips, so slow-oxed in Riedel Burgs & btl. Semi translucent red w/ lightening edges. This has evolved into classic Gevrey Chambertin w/ plenty of earth & underbrush on the nose. The earth & forest floor notes continue on the palate along w/ tasty raspberry, spice & mineral. We really enjoyed this! Had hoped for a solid week night Burg & got much more. 13% alc. Great under the radar find. 91+

August 7, 2019 - A little better than the last bottle. Declined on the second night. Drink up.

July 4, 2019 - need to drink up, upon opening, very smooth and fine tannins, floral notes which was surprising, as didn't expect it from a village grade GC. color was rather dark for a pinot and likely due to oak aging. Did not come across as powerful. 2-3 hours later, floral notes gone and some complexity emerged.

June 12, 2019 - I should have drunk my remaining bottles of this one earlier. It has really rolled over. It was undrinkable on the second night. All my fault, as I had 2018 as the back end drink year.

September 21, 2018 - Best bottle yet, but needed to be open for at least two hours. Finished the bottle on the first night, but I did not sense it would hold up for a second night. I would be a drinker of this one.

May 28, 2017 - The same theme as earlier tastings. This wine disappointed me early on but finally came around. Not spectacular, but drinking well now.

July 20, 2015 - I have previously been disappointed in pretty much every bottle I have tried of this one. This one was finally good.....deep, dark, complex and full of flavor. Seems like a long time for it to come around, but am happy that it did.

May 18, 2015 - Even in half bottle still showing some stern tannins. But the fruit is pretty supple, black cherry with nice soil tones, moderate length. Nice enough for $15. B
