Community Tasting Notes 2

November 6, 2006 - Lemon yellow in color. A clear spritz is visible in the wine; a defect. Apple on the nose along with vanilla and oak. Petulant on the tongue, but it wears itself out very quickly. The attack is about all there is to this wine. 12.6% alc. With oyster stew.

October 5, 2006 - A very pale gold color .... it somehow suggests that some thing is missing. It’s an apt impression. Flavors of apple and pear and something almost spicy. Butterscotch kicks in also. No finish, no midpalate. This is a wine for cooking and drinking the rest, but not a bottle for just opening for the sake of it. This is a good example of a Va. winery that doesn’t need to be. They may be learning and progressing, but it seems more likely that the owners are looking for tax breaks. With fettuccine and chicken marcarpone mustard sauce.
