Earthy palate with iron and blood. The mouthfeel is a bit lighter than I'd like -- probably in the 1% milk range. Medium finish. I tend to like Cab Franc with pizza but I don't think this one would make a good match. Paired this with a sirloin roast with gravy.

  October 16, 2009 - initially blue fruit aromas, plums and blueberries, some vegetable on the nose as well, this version is chewy, with more tannin than the other designations, plums, stones, graphite, black cherry, finishes dry, with earth and green character, matches alright with roasted lamb, others thought there were metallic tastes with this wine, I like it, very true to land and varietal, will last
