March 15, 2021 - Opened this gem for Riesling day yesterday and had more today. Very striking gold color. Not much of a nose, but very light tropical flowers. On the palate, lots of grapefruit, orange peel, and honey. A bit of caramel too. My bottle still had a lot of acidity to it. Would have guessed a much younger wine if I had it blind.

February 16, 2019 - Beautiful wine. Crystaline and creamy. Lovely length, candied tropical fruit, orange zest, honeycomb and a piney, resinous note in the back that I really like.

November 21, 2017 - Superb. Dense, yet elegant. Showing a lot of silky white fruit. Excellent balance and length. Drinking really well right out of the bottle. will last for a long time. Enjoy!

Rockss and Fruit

(Hexamer Meddersheimer Rheingrafenberg Auslese) Lots of peach, apricot, wet earth, iron, dark fruits. Heavy nose. Really fat with flavors of peach, bartlett pear, red fruits, some violet florals. Really deep, rich palate. Sinks in. Acidity is there but the fat is showing right now. Lots of stuff here. Today a little simple but it is definetly holding a bunch in reserve. Will revisit in perhaps 2009.
