December 6, 2022 - This wine held up very well. Lots of fruit and good color still. Enjoyable as it opened up.
March 3, 2017 - Probably past its prime; mild and a bit flaccid.
July 22, 2014 - We preferred it over the 2001 Rattlesnake Cab.
December 23, 2013 - Dark, dark maroon color. Thick legs. Smoky nose with dark berry fruit intermixed with a little soil in the background. Ripe, full-bodied fruit on the palate, but there was a faint bitterness in the background that detracted from the overall experience. Big on the palate, but lacked depth. I drank this over two nights, and on both nights the nose seemed more vibrant and lively than the palate, which seemed either shut down or just really tired.
I bought it from an online auction and paid a fair amount ($70.00 including the vig and shipping) and it didn't live up to expectations. I've had far more enjoyable bottles for far less dough.
October 6, 2012 - This is a very concentrated Cab. with jammy black cherries and currants.
June 10, 2012 - Deep rich wine and still has life for aging.
February 28, 2010 - ok. a little thin not much showing.
December 14, 2009 - Nice nose, shows promise, then goes totally limp. Almost tasteless wine with irritating currant overtones and not a lot more. Decanted for 3 hours and had a little improvement, but not much.
December 31, 2005 - Super ripe blueberry and blackberry jam with a bit of a cough syrup streak. Actually a bit restrained on the palate, with good density and a plush texture framed by grainy tannin and spicy oak.
