February 26, 2017 - Oddly I got long fruit on the front of the tongue, but little else on sides or back of the mouth. Not a well balanced wine.

March 22, 2016 - Jeez, this is difficult to rate .... as I have to consider it being a Latour made product.
And there lies the ambiguity .... it didn't perform as good as I had expected.
Understood, its only the third one, but I did hope Latour would still turn out supreme quality.
And this particular one did under-perform for me, just lacking on mainly all bases.
The only good note would be the amazing long flavour which lingers in my mouth.
On other points, it was heavily outperformed by the Reserve de la Comtesse 2008.
Will this wine improve over time .... I hope so, but I fear not.

June 19, 2015 - Décanté 3 heures. Spectaculaire pour le prix. Digne de son grand frère!

June 30, 2014 - Brick rim and sediment showing age. Stewed red fruit on medium nose. Not a lot of complexity. Medium body, little in the way of tannins and fell off the back of the tongue. Drink up, you other 452 with it in your cellars, a minor star is fading fast.
November 8, 2013 - Smells a bit cheap and oaky. A bit dilute. Slightly bitter. Decent length, but tannins are quite harsh. Tastes cheap, although it did improve in the glass.
March 2, 2013 - I did like it, but it has a hollow midpalate. Subtle nose, no real depth or complexity. Maybe too young still, not sure, but not worth the price in my opinion. One more bottle and I will let it sit a few years to see if it improves, but I won't be adding any more to the collection.
February 1, 2013 - Decant 1 hr, drank over another 1.5 hrs. Very nice, good balance, plenty of acid as well as tannins. Not much earth at all, but very very elegant, with hints of smoke and tar. My buddy wants to give this an 89, I thought it deserved 90, but I can see it hitting up to a 93 with either a couple more years in the bottle or a few more hours of decanting.
