Community Tasting Notes 6

January 15, 2016 - Had at Paris House. Nice cedar, tobacco leaf and blackberry nose. This is medium bodied with quite good acidity, medium complexity and not much tannin. Some barnyard, coffee, chocolate, plum and green pepper on the palate. Paired really well with Muscovy Duck and wild mushrooms; another astute match by manager Guillaume. Best wine of the meal and drinking very well now and should continue to do so over the next 2-3 years. Good example of the appellation and a good effort for the year.

February 20, 2015 - nice dry acids, medium complexity, nice mix of dark fruits and earthy notes with some spice, way too much alcohol both on the nose and palate

February 9, 2015 - Really lovely full nose of dark fruit and a smooth, full palate. Still some time left for this vintage but drinking really well.

February 16, 2014 - The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry. It tastes like cherry, black pepper and alcohol/hot. The body is full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

September 8, 2013 - Drank a little early but it was still awesome. Shared with friends who came to St. Pierre with me where I bought the wine. Will buy again if I could ever find it!
