March 18, 2017 - A nicely aged and unusually tasty Carignan from Sardenia, with a fine balance of fruit, acid, and tannin. The tannin is significantly less astringent and dusty, as well as softer and more rounded. The fruit now has a softer black plum, along with some blackberry. Overall, a Carignan that is as good as the best made in France.

November 12, 2012 - Rich and dark with lots of spices and stewed dark fruits. Might be just a bit cooked since I remember the previous bottle being much fresher and livelier.
May 27, 2012 - Pruny, grape, smoke, tomato, VA nose. Strawberry jam and stewy fruit palate. Heat damaged? Ugh.
April 30, 2011 - Fantastic wine. Graphite and very dark licorice dominate and are downright enchanting. Loads of fruit in this very dark wine. Lovely floral nose, and a palate that lets the syrah tannins come through. Outstanding wine.
October 31, 2010 - Tight upon opening. Floral (menthol?) nose. Rustic tannins, dense fruit.
May 26, 2008 - dark iny plum, ruby brick hue, medium clarity
Nose: burnt cherries, mustard, thyme, juniper, clove, bay leaf
Pal: burnt cherries, mustard, tar, orange, almond, oak, leather
