April 7, 2023 - California Dreamin' and a Pair of Inaugural Corton Charlemagne: The distilled essence of aged champagne. Very enjoyable, but I miss the verve this vintage of Oeno showed not too many years ago.

November 6, 2021 - This bottle of the ‘71 Oeno is a great example of an ancient Dom Pérignon. Limpid and perfect acidity. True to form, it’s not about yeast or bread; the fruit is now an austere shell of citrus. There was a very brief spray of tiny bubbles when pouring into the glass. You have to approach a champagne this old on its own terms because the resemblance to twentieth century champagne is minimal. I would not be sure tasting it blind that it was even champagne and I surely would not guess it was Chardonnay or Pinot Noir. Much appreciated by the birthday crowd.
December 17, 2019 - 2008 disgorge. Deep but smooth palate here. Completely delicious, nothing wrong w this oeno as it certainly showed more character than more recently disgorged bottles
September 27, 2019 - Three Old Bordeaux and Some Starters (Bellecour. Wayzata, MN): Dense and almost viscous, the 71 Oeno continues to drink wonderfully. A beautiful wine, not just a great champagne.
August 3, 2019 - Regular dinner group (@ JvT): Focused acidity and minerals in the bouquet and on the palate. Enormously elegant, beautiful citrus acidity, some pleasant bitterness and a great length. Very impressive; what a freshness!

August 3, 2019 - Brief note from blind tasting yesterday at a friends place.
Nobody at the table could have guessed this champagne was this old.
Released sinds 2006 this almost 50 years old champagne came across so vivid and in total harmony. Something you would love to drink every weekend but sadly is not possible.
Almonds, a little zest great and pure acidity and lovely minerality.
Nice and lingering finish.
March 26, 2019 - Spectacular. Right on edge of freshness and development flashing both sides. Balanced, persistent and full.
September 1, 2018 - 2006 disgorgement. These continue to shine, simply beautiful champagne.
