February 8, 2024 - Perfect aging from great vintage

June 10, 2018 - Not yet ready. Good balance but less intensity/stuffing/complexity than I'd like. Try again in 2022 or so.

March 14, 2016 - absolutely outstanding, had the acid / verve / grip of many '02's i drink these days but with a "pack a punch" level of fruit and secondary elements to balance, leaned toward the darker side but with a hint of sweetness to the fruit, just really good, curious if a hint of unabsorbed wood would suggest that this will be 2 pts higher in five years

April 12, 2015 - Sweet cranberry fruit. Gains intensity with time. Good weight with very fine tannins. Dusty, animal backend. Good character.

July 28, 2014 - Two days later from memory. Didn't get around to the entry at the POC (point of consumption) but this one stuck in my mind and wouldn't be dislodged. Unmistakably grand cru in depth and intensity. I always know because the good ones have such jaw-dropping weight. If I'm not careful I find myself surprised and often on the point of nose bubbles because they fill my oral cavity and sinuses with such incredible waves of flavor. It's not at all like being overwhelmed by alcohol or fruit in a new world fruitbomb, it's everything in balance all at the same time rising in waves of pleasure (oops, this is about to turn x-rated if I'm not careful.)

Deep red fruits with only the most subtle notes of balsamy wood and forest floor, iron and blood. Again, a mouthful of wine without it being oppressive or ungainly. Delightful to roll around the palate and ponder. This was definitely not fully mature yet. I'd say more but after 48 hours I'd be making the rest of it up.
