November 17, 2018 - A private dinner with friends (at home): Final magnum from a small lot of three. Identical to my previous note. Quite a pleasant combination of leathery tannins and some remaining, succulent Grenache fruit. Did well with the Côte de boeuf with green pepper sauce.

August 31, 2017 - A private tasting (at home): Magnum. Mature, juicy Grenache fruit, autumnal style, leathery tannins, good length. A decent CdP, fully mature even in this larger format.

May 16, 2017 - From same case as the disappointing previous 3 bottles: Meaty, dark fruited, funky with loads of garrigue; so much youthful energy as to be awkward and too young. Huge contrast to the dead bottles in the case. Freaky

July 25, 2016 - Three bottles tasted recently: nose and flavored way beyond "maturity". This wine is in severe decline. Stored perfectly, this wine was excellent 5 years ago. Inexcusable to be so short-lived.

December 5, 2015 - Bought at the Château's tasting room in 2012. This bottle was ever so slightly corked, but just enough to keep us from pursuing it. Too bad; we enjoyed this wine while visiting CDP and thought it was just starting to hit its stride and could be a 91 pointer.

November 17, 2015 - Magnum. Mature, slender, cedary, smoke, crushed red berries, hints of garrigue and violets, spices, medium weight, fresh and with good tannic grip, transparent, subtle but aromatic, complete and with good length. A business dinner, Bussum, NL.

June 6, 2015 - This 14 years old Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a light red color, large rim, almost no aromas, with alcohol super exceed all others. Cork was fine . This bottle is drinkable, but, it is down hill. After 30 minutes, taste and aromas were gone. It was expected to last until 2015 and I don't think so.

January 13, 2015 - D20min. Brick red, yellow rim, 4.5. Discrete spicy garrigue bouquet. Rather tight harmonious palate, still some tannin. Drink now onwards

May 9, 2014 - A bit over the top. Lack of tannins, lots of raisins. Ok, but not at all like it should be.
